Pull out your gym mat and get ready to do a series of movements that will stabilize and strengthen your core. Pilates is a method of exercise that consists of low-impact flexibility and muscular strength and endurance movements. Pilates emphasizes proper postural alignment, core strength and muscle balance.
Pilates main focus is on core however, you can expect to see strength gains in your arms and legs.
The moves may look simple, but they take a lot of precision and control. It’s not like doing a bunch of crunches; there’s a strong emphasis on technique.
You’ll get stronger, more sculpted muscles and gain flexibility. You may also have better posture and a better sense of well-being.
During the classes we put an attention to the correct respiratory. In Pilates, the breath leads the movement and gives it power.
During our Pilates classes we introduce 2 versions of the exercises – regular which engage core and abdominal area and it modification focusing on pelvis, gluteal muscles, arms and shoulders.
Exercises are done mostly on the ground level.
To make classes more attractive we use attributes like elastic bands, foam rollers and several sizes balls.
Pilates is for everybody – regardless of age, gender, skills, condition.
Pilates is recommended as a training for pregnant women ( all pregnant participants will be introduced to the exercises which doesn’t engage abdominal area) and persons after injuries as a method to come back to shape.
